"Just look at the mess we've made."

Another mistake
We're both to blame

So just let this come crashing down
there's no way to fix it now
we're lost in the crowd

And our love will soon decay
just look at the mess we've made
we both know that we can't stay

(I've been thinking about you lately and in the wise words of AJ Rafael and Tori Kelly..... "it's better that we let this go") (hahhaha easier said than done though)(for me, at least)

They always say that when you find someone that you feel so ridiculously comfortable with, someone that you're able to share your weirdest thoughts and feelings with and knowing that they'll still get you no matter what, someone you can just be you in front of (flaws included), keep them. Hold onto them.

And I've come to realise that one does not necessarily need to be in a relationship to hold/keep such people in our lives. We don't. Well, I don't.

So why do we all wish to somehow fill that void in our lives sometimes with people that just end up leaving eventually? If they don't leave, they change. If they don't change, they leave. Take your pick.

Or maybe it's all just me. Haha.

Side note: People like Noah in The Notebook will never exist in real life. Some things are really too good to be true.

I thank God every day for this little poop in my life. Forever my little baby brother.

We were bored and hungry, and josh wanted to test out his wide angle lens so we did this tag for fun. :)

On a ligher note, school's starting tomorrow!!!!!

If it's nothing good then don't say it.

This week felt like it passed by too quickly, yet it felt quite long? Maybe it's because I flew back to Melbourne yesterday. Meeeeep.

Monday:
Got my hair dyes in the mail! Can't wait to get them on my hair in june.
And my shitty bangs need to grow out asap so I don't get made fun of anymore.
(yes jamie hi)

Tuesday was a busy busy day!
But every minute was super enjoyable anyway.

Started off my morning by rushing down to KAP macs for breakfast with glenda. Haven't seen her in ages and it was great just catching up over hotcakes and iced milo. We made it just on time for breakfast so thank God for that.

And then after breakfast, headed back to Ngee Ann to meet Renxin. Haven't seen this girl for more than half a year, so imagine the amount of shit we managed to cram into 1 hr + of catch up. Haha.
Can't wait to see her again when I'm back!

Hopped onto the wrong bus to get to town (154 instead of 174) (my eyes are wonky) so I cabbed down from macpherson to town to meet Mistika!

Was supposed to catch gangster squad together but at the end she needed to pee and I wanted to buy socks from topshop, so we ended up doing that and chilling at fish & co instead. Good decision, I must say.

Love this girl to the ends of the earth forever. <3

Right after that, managed to hang out with Ame for a while. Had a lot of fun, as usual. :)
Soup spoon never ever disappoints with their delicious mushroom soup and squishy bread. And no one I've met so far in my life can appreciate squishy bread like how I do except Ame. One of the many reasons why I love her.

Wednesday:
Met up with my bbg Emily for a date!
She brought me to Little Pancakes, and the pancakes are so yummy! They're quite small-sized but surprisingly quite filling!
I had the ham and cheese pancakes while Em had the one with a chicken sausage on top.

And then we had an impromptu decision to head over to little india to get emily's eyebrows done.
Little India is so foreign and mysterious and strange with little quirky places hidden at each corner of the messy streets. It's interesting to be in this part of Singapore.

And since we were nearby em's place, we decided on heading over to her house to chill for a bit! Opened up boxes of things, presents that were given to her during valentine's day and found the one I gave to her back when we were in sec 3!

Haha, oh nostalgia.

Right after that, I went to town to meet Lavelle Jamie Jodie and Nicole for dinner. Talked shit as usual and then went to swensens for ice cream.

Where we also saw someone that looked exactly like Ame. Couldn't help but snap a picture of him. HAHA, what do you guys think?

And Jamie being jamie.........

Thursday was spent at home, chilling with Josh. And then heading out to Cold Storage to buy the stuff for Friday's tuan yuan fan with the girls.

(Auntie Tan on the prowl)

(Super random photo but i thought it was amusing to have 20 pkts of maggi mee flown to melbourne)

(excuse the shitty hair + face but this is by far one of the biggest brinjals i've ever seen)

Friday!!!!
Last night of my holidays were spent with the best company ever ever ever.
Thank you for having an early "reunion" dinner with me, knowing that I can't be back in Singapore for chinese new year. Love you girls.

(Fortune cookies and momentarily believing in them)

Was whatsapping Timmy:

and here's a collection of wonderful faces we sent him.
Much love.

Friday ended off really nice. Just sat there talking non stop and laughing non stop over some good azn steamboat food.

Woke up quite early on a saturday morning. Headed over to my grandma's place to say my goodbyes since she's still healing from surgery.

And then my family brought me to this amazing place opposite great world city that sells the BEST malay food ever (the beef rendang is perfect) since I was craving some malay food before I leave for Melbourne.

(I SUCK AT PANAROMA I KNOW LOL)

Missing Josh so much now it hurts :(

Later on I had a sweet surprise from my wonderful, amazing, beautiful and crazy friends.

Thank you for sending me off. Some of them (or majority) of them had other things going on and either had to sacrifice going to that event or turn up later. So touched and blessed so thank you thank you thank you. Thank you Glenda and Aralin for rushing down like crazyyyyyy and I'm out of words to express my undying love for you guys. Dramatic, yes I know.

Bumped into obaja at the boarding area and it's always good to have a guy that has been constantly at the gym to help us out with the lugging of our 38 kg & 40+ kg worth of luggages off the belt.

It was the shittiest plane ride back to Melbourne. Barely got 1 hour of sleep. Thanks to the idiot sitting in front of me, constantly moving his seat back and forth and being super restless. -_-

Came back home basically brain fried and still had to clean the dust off the tables, change the bed sheets and unpack 1 box, 1 handcarry and 1 hugeass luggage bag.

Went over to Pancake parlour for a quick lunch where Sher and I were basically so tired to the extent we couldn't even finish up our sentences.

So proud of myself that I managed to squeeze the insane amount of clothes I dragged back to melbourne. Can't wait for timmy and nette to come back and clear all the SHIT they chugged into my closet. I feel like the wardrobe is going to explode anytime it's scary.

Couldn't take the tiredness and knocked out for a solid 4 hours right after showering. Woke up at 6 plus, cooked maggi mee for dinner and watched running man with sher.

Decided on going to the city to get us some bubble tea. (hello expensive bubble tea, we meet again)

(here's sher wearing the obnoxious stereotypical cute couple tee I got for the happy couple!)
(doesn't she look so adorbzzz)

So we've come to an end of my holidays and school is starting and I'm back in melbourne and all that jazz.

Managed to meet up with so many friends this holiday and still keep close to the ones that mean a lot to me, so i'm glad. Learnt some things along the way and realised some friends really are there for you when you need them. And some just claim to be, but at the end they're not.

Missing everyone tonight. I'm so so so tired.

"I belong with you, you belong with me."

Ryan bandong.
He deserves so much more recognition.
Can't stop smiling whenever I watch his videos. Ugh, always so captivating.

Take a look for yourself ;-) he's got a winner's smile.

Kind-of mid week crisis.
Ugh hate packing up.

Renewed

So we're officially heading towards the last week of my stay here in Singapore!
I don't know if I should be excited that I'm heading back to Melbourne... I'm confused.

Anyway, it has been a wonderful wonderful week, filled with amazing catch ups with friends that I haven't met in a while.

On wednesday, I managed to hang out with Roseanne. Ate the best yong tau fu at lucky plaza (huge thanks to Roseanne's great recommendation) and then headed to cine for some frolick. Can't believe we didn't once stop talking during the 4+ hours we met up for. So many stories to share and I've got to say.... I'm so blessed to have known such an amazing girl who's gone through so, so much in this short time that we've lived so far and I have so much respect for her.

So proud of you Roseanne, continue to do what you do and one day I swear you'll make it. :-)

Managed to get this ^ from her instagram, so cute of her to make this!! :')

Thursday I headed back to TKGS with my homegurl Filzah. Reunited with the familiar sight of the canteen tables, the friendly canteen auntie, and of course the cheap nostalgic canteen food. (which always includes my $1 peach tea)

Also went back to TK only to realise that my sec 3 chemistry teacher Mr Ahmad has become a poster boy and his face was all around the circular block. I just HAD to take a picture with my favourite teacher's face.

The poster boy himself. ^

Hung around the 4th floor corridors chilling with Filzah, enjoying the cool thursday breeze talking about all the things we used to do back in TK.

Below is the familiar walkway I always walked (either half asleep or half awake) to get my butt to chinese class which was 4/8. Where Shannon, Sam and I would make lao shi cry all the time with our lame jokes and stupid faces. And every other week/month we would ask if she was preggers or not because of her slight tummy. (It started off as an honest question at first, but it ended up being too funny.)

Always feels so good to be back in TKGS. Always, always feels like home. #TKPRIDE

Friday started off pretty well. Met up with Marcus for brunch at Changi City Point, which I mistook it's name for city square mall. Meh.

We had brunch at Eggs & Berries, and the food was simply amazing. Super super good food and worth the price. I loved the mushrooms, especially. So if you guys are looking for an alternative for robert timm's all day breakfast, you should definitely try this place.

Talked about school, life and what the future holds. Can't believe it's been close to 5 years. Scares me that we've all grown so old too quickly. :(

Saturday was a rainy day which meant sleeping in and spending my afternoon chilling with my family. It was a good saturday well spent in my PJs. With the best non judgmental company. I love my family.

Headed over to my grandma's place for dinner (still in my PJs) and my aunt brought over their 1 year old sausage dog, Robin. He's so adorable and always so busy walking trotting around.

Observe:

So cuttteee i cannotttttksldkfkjgkhj4tg you guys need to take a look into his eyes *___*

So here comes Sunday.
Headed to church today and had Song Tao lead us for bible study today.

Can't say I'm super involved in my small group, nor did I put in enough effort to be any closer to any one of the people in there but it's so touching to see them still bothering to keep up with me and ask me how I'm doing in the most sincere way. Also had some of them stay back and pray for me and my survival of the exams and everything else that I'm going to head towards when I'm back in Melbourne. So so so so so thankful for this group of wonderful people that I've basically grown up with.

And another special moment I had today in small group was when I got to sit down with my 2 closest friends I have in there, Christelle and Amelia.

I'll always remember Amelia was one of the rare few that thought my shitty short hair looked cool and nice. Thank you for every single valentine/christmas/new years card and present, because each letter had such sweet intentions and sincere wishes in it, I can't help but feel touched whenever I read any one of your letters.

Though I'm not as close to them as I was back in sec 1-3, it was still so great to be able to catch up with what they were up to with their lives and school, ask for prayer requests and pray for one another.

We don't really have many photos together, we never really talked on the phone or had that many heart to heart talks. But when we did, it was always so heartwarming to know that there are friends that truly mean and wish the best for you.

That one sleepover at Wan Lin's place back when we were sec 2 is still so clear in my mind- watching a gazillion episodes of chuck, playing bridge non stop till 6am, sleeping on the couch with Amelia till the alarm rang and we headed to macs for breakfast.

I don't do things to show how much I treasure these people, because I'm so lazy. It's a flaw in me that I always tend to take things for granted and never treasure them enough before it's too late. :(

(super unflattering picture of most of us here but yeah it's one of the few I could find)

Thank you MTC for being ever so nice and friendly even though I sometimes skip church (only because we overslept), being so understanding when I had my reasons for not signing up for camps. For being so encouraging to one another whenever we need prayer and guidance.

It makes me feel so happy and proud that so many of you guys are stepping up to be leaders in various ways. Song Tao being our peer leader, helping Mark out. Amelia being an Assistant Camp Leader back in last december's YM camp. Christelle becoming a YSGL (Youth Small Group Leader) to the new sec 1s coming in. Timothy leading worship on stage.

Those breakfasts, retreats, fellowship-sunday-activities throughout the years will not be forgotten because I had fun during all of them. I don't say how grateful I am to know you guys enough, so here's one for you all.

Okay, so here's a week long update! Thanks for sticking it out with me you guys.
Have an awesome week ~~~~~~~
